			<description>Two MCTC students were elected to positions within the Minnesota State College Student Association (MSCSA), the lobby group for two-year and technical colleges in Minnesota, during its spring general assembly in Brainerd. While the positions that Dittberner and Askew carry within MSCSA provide no direct or specific benefit to MCTC, according to Dittberner their new roles mean that &quot;we [MCTC] develop strong leaders and provide that to MSCSA.</description>

The event was held in early April and the workshops varied from The Basics of Islam to Science and Islam and ending in a final culmination of original Islamic poetry recited by student artists.</description>
